Add-on
Promote your own things, inside your own app
Put an event, an upgrade or a partner’s offer between feed posts, forum topics and groups, in a popup, a push and your notification emails — to the members it is for, when it matters, with every view and tap counted.
Included on every plan, Free too
Free while in beta. No credit card needed.
Where ads show
Everywhere your members already look
Each campaign ticks the places it shows. A place your site cannot fill — forums with no forum plugin — is greyed out with the reason.
Between posts, groups, forums and jobs
A card in the news feed and group discussions (Ultimate Member, BuddyPress and BuddyBoss), in group lists, ForumWP and bbPress forum and topic lists, and the JobBoardWP job list — first after a few rows, then every so many, as you set.
Video that plays itself — or waits
A video from your Media Library, YouTube or Vimeo: its thumbnail until a member taps, or playing muted as it scrolls into view. Served from Media CDN if you use it.
A popup
One card over the app a little after it opens, at most as often as you allow per visit, with a cooldown between.
A push notification
Sent at the time you choose to the campaign’s audience, and again whenever you schedule another — after a test on your own phone. Never more than one promotion a day to any member. Needs Push.
Notification emails
One ad at the foot of the reply, mention and follower emails Memberside already sends, chosen for the member it goes to.
Your website
The same lists on your site’s own pages, and the site popup — for members, and for logged-out visitors when a campaign is aimed at everyone.
A button that goes somewhere
Open a screen in your app — Events, Shop, Groups — open a group, post, event or product natively from a link, or open any web address.
Filmed on a demo community. The campaigns and their numbers are sample data.
Who and when
Aimed at the members it is for
Leave the audience empty to reach every member, or narrow it with any of these together.
Roles and membership levels
Only Gold members, only new members, only organisers — any WordPress role, or any of the Paid Memberships Pro levels you tick.
Profile fields
City is Manila, interests include Running, country is one of three — rules on Ultimate Member and BuddyPress fields, all or any.
What they bought
Show an offer to members holding an in-app product, or keep an upgrade away from members who already have it.
Dates, days and hours
Between two dates or forever, on the days of the week and hours you choose, in your site’s timezone.
- Weight campaigns against each other
- Cap how often one member sees an ad a day
- Pause, duplicate or end any campaign
- Views and taps by day, place and surface
Your members, your ads
Promotion without the ad-tech
No ad network
Your campaigns live on your WordPress site. Nothing about an ad, or who saw it, is sent to Memberside or anyone else.
Members can say no
“Hide this ad” and “Stop showing me promotions” are on every ad that allows them — in the app, on the site and in emails.
Always labelled
Every ad says Sponsored, or the word you choose. The app stores expect ads inside content to say what they are.
Questions
Advertise FAQ
Nothing. Advertise is included on every plan, Free too, with no limit on campaigns, views or taps. Sending a campaign as a push uses Push, which is included with Pro and Unlimited or sold separately.
No. Every ad is one you made. There is no ad network, and we never place, sell or see ads in your app.
A view is an ad shown in your app or scrolled into view on your site, an email sent with it, or a push sent. A tap is a tap on its button, its push or its email link. The numbers are kept on your site and shown in the Ads table, by day, place and surface. Emails carry no tracking pixel, so opens are not counted.
Yes. Each campaign can cap how many times one member sees it a day, and weight decides how campaigns in the same place share it.
Google Play asks whether your app contains ads, and house ads count: answer Yes under App content → Ads. Neither store asks for anything else, because no advertising ID is read. The store checklist in the builder reminds you.
In WordPress, under Memberside → Services → Advertise, beside the members, fields and purchases you aim them at. There is nothing to connect on memberside.app.
Your next event deserves a better notice board
Create an account, switch Advertise on under Memberside → Services, and your first campaign reaches your members the next time they open your app.
