The reason most wrapper apps get rejected
Apple’s guideline 4.2 turns away apps that are little more than a website in a frame — which is exactly what a webview wrapper is.
Memberside is built the other way round. The screens members spend their time in are native, and use the device the way an app should — the camera roll, photo cropping, location fields, native search. Before you submit, a readiness audit checks the app against what each store enforces and writes your review notes.
Review is always Apple’s decision and nobody can promise an outcome — but “this is just our website” is the objection we designed the product to remove.
Native screens
Directory, profiles, chat, feed and store are built with native widgets against your REST API.
Device features
Camera roll uploads, photo cropping and location fields — things a browser tab cannot do.
Native search & navigation
Native search with saved recent queries, pull-to-refresh and infinite scroll — interactions a page in a frame cannot offer.
Works offline
The app keeps what members load on the phone. With no signal, or with your site down, they keep reading what they last opened, with a strip saying how old it is — where a website shows an error page.
Account deletion in the app
Members delete their own account from the Settings screen, confirmed with their password. Guideline 5.1.1(v) requires it and explicitly rejects a link to a web form.
Blocking from any post or profile
Every app with member content lets members block someone from the ⋯ menu on a post, comment, profile or conversation, and the two disappear from each other. Guideline 1.2 requires it.
